Artea VivoCity is another new attractive cafe in VivoCity mall that we had been curious to try but was unable to as it was usually crowded. We were there at an off-peak time recently and managed to get seats to eat tiramisu cake and drink tea in relative peace and quiet.

Artea VivoCity is a modern cafe with the usual small tables and chairs that we often associate with a dessert cafe. What made this place stand out and grab our attention were the giant flowers at the back of the room. Their size and design make them visible from afar. Although the sign says “Tea and Pancake”, we did not see any pancakes on the menu, just a selection of tiramisu and lava cakes to go with an array of teas. I believe that souffle pancakes used to be on the menu.

The small alcoves are the best spots to enjoy the Artea food and drinks.

Artea VivoCity Menu

Here is a picture of the Artea VivoCity menu. There did not appear to be any more pancakes, but there were tiramisu cakes and lave cakes. We selected a couple of the former to go with our drinks.

We tried the Artea Earl Grey Tiramisu ($9.80) and Matcha Tiramisu ($11.80). For drinks we had the Avocado Milkshake ($5.80) and Jasmine Bubble Milk Tea ($3.90). We enjoyed both the drinks. The avocado milkshake in particular was rich and heavy. We thought that the prices for the drinks were reasonable.

The Artea tiramisu cakes were served in plastic containers encased in paper boxes. They looked nice from afar because of the marble prints on the boxes. But felt light and flimsy to the touch. The matcha topping had a luxurious green tea aroma and taste. But other than that the taste was quite average. We were not impressed by the tiramisu cakes.
