JEM Kopitiam Food Hall @ Cathay Cineplex Jem.
JEM Shopping Mall is a popular place at Jurong East. The JEM food court on level 5 was revamped and launched on 15 September 2022. The 18,000 sq ft space looks posh and inviting. With the Cathay Cineplex located on the same floor, this looks like a good place to eat before or after the movies. We take you on a quick tour of this new JEM food court 2022. Pictures of sample portions of the food stall menus with prices are provided.
This & That Rice Story
This & That chye png stall was the a stall that quickly caught our eye. What a witty name for the economy rice stall! It brought to mind the song 这个那个 (The Caifan Song) which is so popular.
This & That rice stall at the new JEM Kopitiam food court had an impressive display of dishes, especially the meat items. You can practise selecting dishes using the “这个那个” (this and that) method at this stall.
Here is the The Caifan Song video. You can enjoy the music while reading the rest of the post.
Mala Version 2
Mala Version 2 stall had a beautiful display of their ingredients. They look so fresh! Pick your selection which is then charged by weight – the pricing is clearly displayed on their menu.

Taking up quite a large stall, Toasties & Cream is a bright and modern stall at JEM Kopitiam. The egg toasties and waffles look rather attractive.
A-One Porridge
Porridge specialist, A-One has several outlets including this one at the new Jem Kopitiam.
Don’ Oyster Bar
We were surprised to see Don’ Oyster Bar at the Jem Kopitiam Food Hall and will try to find a chance to try fresh oysters at a Singapore food court. For those less adventurous they also serve Japanese rice bowls with cooked food.
Royal Rojak
Royal Rojak serves a range of rojak dishes at Jem Kopitiam. Their $8 Signature rojak looks very inviting.
Haven Teppanyaki @ Jem Kopitiam Food Hall
Haven Teppanyaki has a few teppanyaki counters at the new JEM Kopitiam food hall. There are several combo sets available. The most interesting one to us is Combo 6 – Lobster Lover that costs $36.
Kopi Kiosk
All food courts have a drink stall. At Jem Kopitiam – Kopi Kiosk provides “B” in F & B.
Herbal Soup
The Herbal Soup stall had a couple of large pots simmering when we visited. This is the stall not to be missed for those who are fond of pigs’ stomach soup. Various other soups such as black chicken herbal and chicken soup with monkey head mushroom are available.

Many grilled meat items are available at Riverside Indonesian BBQ at JEM. The ones we want to try are the Ayam Panggang set ($7) and the Ikan and Sotong set ($9.80).
