Beyond the scrumptious Jypsy classics, which blend traditional Japanese flavours with a modern twist, look forward to the debut of the outlet-exclusive brunch menu, running exclusively on weekends and public holidays from 8 am – 4 pm. These new additions include the Jypsy Big Breakfast ($29), the Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict ($26), the refreshing Green Tea Soba Salad ($19), the Wagyu Hamburger Steak Plate ($26), a hand-made Japanese-style beef patty and an array of Sando options – the Chicken Sando ($21), the Sous-vide Wagyu Sando ($28) featuring Grade 7 fine Australian wagyu and the traditional Japanese Tamago Sando ($18).
Jypsy Parkland Green will also introduce a special Kids Menu for the first time. It will feature specials such as the Junior Plate ($15), featuring a bolognese pasta and a side of crispy karaage bites, accompanied with an egg omelette and cucumber sushi roll.

Starting 2 January 2024, diners can look forward to the all-new Blooming Abundance Afternoon Tea. The new tea set blends the essence of oriental cuisine with classic afternoon tea elements, curated to symbolise the blossoming of a new year.
Indulge in the savouries that offer an innovate take on popular Asian dishes such as the aromatic Drunken Chicken with Leek, Celery and Hua Tiao Chiew, Mini Abalone featuring Blue Pea Glutinous Rice, Chicken Char Siew Kong Bak Pao and Spicy Chilli Crab Quiche. Delight in the exquisite sweet treats including the Tropical Violet Tartlet, Golden Fortune, Oriental Ruby Cake, Kurogoma Ryokucha Roll, and Blood Peach Financier, each a masterpiece of flavours and textures. There are new eats in the new year 2024 for the kids too. The specially crafted Kids’ Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge is available from 2 January 31 May 2024. AIR – New Restaurant, Circular Campus and Cooking Club by Acclaimed Chefs
Sprawled over a 40,000-sq-ft verdant campus in Dempsey Hill, Air is a restaurant, circular campus and cooking club, a multi-hyphenated space established by feted chefs Matthew Orlando and Will Goldfarb, and entrepreneur Ronald Akili.
At the heart of AIR – which stands for Awareness, Impact and Responsibility — is the Restaurant, around which radiates the Lawn, Cooking Club, Research Space and Garden Farm.
The Restaurant is helmed by Chef Matthew Orlando, founder of Amass in Copenhagen, renowned as one of the most sustainable restaurants in the world. Meals at Air begin with Snacks like Jackfruit and Local Bean “Hummus” served with young cabbage leaves and burnt lemon dukkah ($18) or Crispy Oyster Mushrooms with Sarawak pepper emulsion and pickled chillies ($28). The Mains are hearty. Think a Whole Coral Grouper For Two ($52), which comprises a fish head rillette served with empeng crisps. Or savour a Roselle Glazed Duck Breast ($44), grilled over charcoal, lacquered with a sticky roselle glaze, and served with cashew cream and smoked chilli oil. Look forward to healthier new eats in the new year. Home-based baker Lucy Asnum’s Happy Low Carb Time will take up residency a Baker X from 8 January to 28 February 2024. Happy Low Carb Time will present a repertoire of desserts that cater not only to the keto lifestyle, but also redefines guilt-free enjoyment.
During Happy Low Carb Time’s residency, be spoilt for choice with their signature cakes. The Lychee Rose Cake ($9 per slice) features a keto-friendly lychee chiffon studded with juicy lychees, and frosted with fresh cream infused with fragrances of lychee and rose.
Newly launched at Baker X, the Pandan Orh Nee Cake ($9 per slice) combines pandan chiffon and fresh mascarpone whipped with yam paste. The range of new cake flavours also includes Matcha Chocolate Cake ($9 per slice), Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake ($9.50 per slice) and Lychee Jelly Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($9 per slice).

Singapore’s renowned American Southern BBQ Smokehouse Meatsmith and artisanal Burnt Ends Bakery join forces with Pullman Singapore Orchard to showcase their creations at the glasshouse Eden Restaurant and the stylish Atelier Lounge.
Meatsmith will embark on a two-week residency at Eden Restaurant from 8 to 21 January 2024. This pop-up introduces Meatsmith’s celebrated dishes alongside a special Pullman x Meatsmith Collab Selection, blending Meatsmith’s essence with Eden Restaurant’s Asian twist. Meatchelin Korean Style Lamb BBQ
Meatchelin restaurant and bar in Tanjong Pagar is a unique culinary destination set to become Singapore’s go-to spot for Korean-style lamb BBQ experience, a first-of-its-kind locally. With this concept already a sensation in Korea, Meatchelin brings to Singapore the artistry of ‘Oppa’ Chefs, showcasing their culinary skills live at the bar counter seats exclusively reserved for 20 guests.
The showstopper is Meatchelin’s signature lamb ribs set ($138 for six pieces or top-up $48 for an additional two pieces), featuring free-range, grass-fed lamb raised on Australia’s sprawling pastures for ten months. The quick, one-minute, 30-second barbecue process seals in juicy flavours. Guests can enhance their lamb BBQ experience by dipping the ribs into a special homemade Korean sauce; a secret recipe passed down over three generations ago.

Winter at Esora
Led by Chef Takeshi Araki, Esora is a Modern Japanese Kappo restaurant inspired by nature, serving traditional Japanese flavours with a contemporary approach. This winter, Chef Araki celebrates seasonal delicacies such as winter kumquats, fugu (puffer fish) from Yamaguchi, Matsuba snow crabs, sweet chijimi horenso (snow spinach), Niigata kanzuri (fermented chilli), himi kanburi (winter yellowtail), akamutsu (black throat sea perch), Kyoto kujyo negi (bunching onions), and setoka mandarins.
The menu also sees Chef bringing forward winter food traditions of ankimo (monk fish liver), kasujiru (sake lees soup), sukiyaki, and Christmas spices. Throughout the meal of 10 meaningful courses, diners will bask in the nostalgia and spirit of traditional Japanese winter dishes, as well as flavours infused with richness, boldness, and a light smokiness freshened with citrus notes.

Araya Unveils Vegetarian Menu and Majestic Private Dining Room
Araya, the Chilean South Pacific restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef Francisco Araya and chef Fernanda Guerrero, introduces a vegetarian menu and its private room.
The majestic private dining room, with mural of the Andes, is furnished with a solid quartzite stone table, a delicate porcelain light fixture that floats like drifting clouds and rich blue velvet curtains. Step inside and you’ll be transported to a dramatic mountain landscape through its theatrical design. This private dining room is now available for booking with a minimum spend of $4,000++.
Vegetarians looking for new eats in the new year can consider Chef Francisco’s 8-course Vegetarian Menu ($298++) which transcends the ordinary with offerings like Mashua (an Andean tuber) Potage with Andean Quinoa. Also on the menu are Beetroot Sorbet with Compressed Beetroot and Roasted Cauliflower on Aged Equatorial Cacao Sauce.
