The MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2024 unveiled its full restaurant selection on 25 June 2024, marking the eighth edition for the prestigious guide in the little red dot that is a food paradise. Les Amis, Odette and Zen retain their positions as Singapore’s Three MICHELIN Star establishments. Araya, Chaleur, Matera and Pangium are 4 restaurants newly awarded One MICHELIN Star. Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle is still the only hawker stall in Singapore to have One MICHELIN Star.
Singapore’s 2024 Star Power
There are 51 MICHELIN Starred restaurants in the MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2024.
The Three MICHELIN Star category remains unchanged. Les Amis, Odette and Restaurant Zén retained their prestigious 3 stars.
Meta, led by Chef Sun Kim from Busan, Korea, takes the leap to Two MICHELIN Stars, impressing inspectors with its modern take on Korean traditions.
Four New Stars
Araya, a Chilean restaurant, earned One MICHELIN Star just eight months after opening. The restaurant is led by Chef-Partners Francisco Araya and Fernanda Guerrero who both hail from Chile. Its sommelier, Tomas Tapia, also won the Michelin Guide Sommelier Award for his extensive knowledge in Chilean wines.
Innovation takes center stage at Chaleur, where Chef Masahiko Kawano’s ten-course tasting menu masterfully blends French and Japanese influences.
Helmed by German chef Bjoern Alexander, Matera offers breathtaking views alongside modern Italian fare with Asian touches.
Singaporean heritage cuisine finds a champion in Pangium, where Chef Malcolm Lee’s tasting menu explores the potential of Straits cuisine through his family’s cherished recipes.
Special Awards
Fiz, a modern Malay restaurant, joins Seroja as the second establishment to be awarded a Michelin Green Star, recognizing their commitment to eco-friendly practices.
The Michelin Guide also honors individual talents who elevate the dining experience. This year’s Service Award goes to Lufianti Susetyo of Buko Nero for her warm hospitality, while the Young Chef Award was presented to Seth Lai of Ce Soir for his innovative and regionally inspired cuisine. The Sommelier Award is given to Tomas Tapia from Araya.
