American fashion house Coach opens The Coach Restaurant Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport. The 56-seat steakhouse marks the brand’s latest venture into hospitality. The restaurant joins The Coach Coffee Shop, which already operates at the same location. Both outlets connect directly to Coach’s retail store at Jewel.

What to expect at the new restaurant

The restaurant centres on an open woodfire kitchen. A 10-seat chef’s counter offers views of the cooking process. A 10-seat bar sits alongside the main dining area. Head chef Kurt Sombero leads the kitchen. He previously worked at Burnt Ends and Meatsmith Little India, both known for woodfire cooking.

The menu features American steakhouse fare. USDA Prime beef and Japanese Satsuma Wagyu A5 are available. The porterhouse steak is designed for sharing. Seafood options include Dover sole with citrus caper brown butter and Maine lobster with black pepper hollandaise. A lemon thyme roasted chicken is also offered.

New York influences
The restaurant draws inspiration from New York City, where Coach was founded in 1941. A full-size yellow taxi cab hangs from the ceiling.

Street food items reference New York staples. Pizza slices, hot dogs and the Coach Cheeseburger are on the menu.
Starters include Maryland-style crab cakes with Old Bay seasoning. The raw bar serves American oysters and jumbo shrimp cocktail. One dish, the Black and White Bagel topped with caviar, takes its name from New York’s black and white cookie.

Desserts include a 20-layer chocolate cake, New York cheesecake and PB&J baked alaska.

The design

Leather features throughout the space. Menu covers, napkin cuffs, placemats and aprons use glovetanned leather. This reflects Coach’s heritage in leather goods.

Bronze mirror walls and terrazzo floors reference the brand’s history. Tropical wood louvers acknowledge the Southeast Asian setting.
The dining room curves under an arched ceiling. It overlooks Jewel’s Rain Vortex waterfall.
Why Singapore

Marcus Sanders, vice president of global food and beverage at Coach, said Singapore was chosen for its food culture and global community.
The city-state has become a testing ground for international brands entering Asia. Its affluent population and high tourist traffic make it attractive for premium concepts.
Other fashion brands have similarly moved into food and beverage. In Singapore, we have Audemars Piguetโs AP Cafe, Le Chocolat Maxime Frederic by Louis Vuitton, Prada Cafe and Ralphโs Coffee by Ralph Lauren,
