BHC Chicken Star Vista is the newest Singapore outlet of the famous Korean fried chicken restaurant chain. It opened several weeks ago and is located next to Guzman y Gomez on level one. With the memories of the delicious chicken of BHC Chicken Myeongdong Seoul still fresh in our mind, we stopped by to try the BHC weekday lunch set deal.
Korean Fried Chicken at Star Vista
The new BHC Chicken Star Vista is quite spacious. With a contemporary casual style and bright colours, it has a comfortable atmosphere. In Seoul, we experienced a long queue at this popular Korean fried chicken restaurant and were mentally prepared to see one at Star Vista, especially since it is a new outlet. Fortunately, the queue was quite modest when we went there at lunchtime on a weekday.

There was a new flavour known as Mala Khan made with a “specially crafted K-Mala sauce”. Other than that the menu looks similar (although with less flavour choices) to what we saw in Seoul). Here are pictures of some sample screen shots of the menu. There was also an option of a weekday lunch set deal priced at $14.90++.
Lunch Set Deal
The lunch deal was a choice of chicken wings in a few choices of flavours, French fries and a drink. We picked the classic fried chicken – “retro” . For drink we chose a Fuze jasmine tea. Soon after we completed the order, the drink was served together with a set of gloves and small plates. The plastic tub, lined with a disposable bag is for bones.
The fried chicken wings and fries arrived after around 15 minutes. The level of crispiness was good and the taste of the chicken was ok. But we would have preferred the chicken pieces to have more meat as we thought that they were rather skinny. We also could not help but compare this to the boneless honey chicken we had tried in Seoul, which seemed more satisfying.
