Alliance Française de Singapour has launched its sixth French Excellence Programme, centering on French winemaking and cultural arts.
The season, titled À Table!, runs from 7 February to 18 April 2026. It features an exhibition, theatrical performances, concerts, and wine tastings.

Multi-sensory exhibition on French wines
The centrepiece this year’s À TABLE! is a free exhibition created with Bordeaux’s Cité du Vin museum. Visitors explore three sections covering vineyard history, winemaking processes, and wine appreciation.
The first section examines French terroirs, grape varieties, and Bordeaux’s position as a wine capital. The second reveals the biology of grapes and the techniques that distinguish red and white wines. The final section focuses on aromas, textures, and food pairings. Guided tours are available in English and French for adults and children. Visitors can add a glass of wine to their tour for $10.
Private wine-tasting workshops complement the exhibition. These sessions allow participants to experience French wines in smaller groups.
Classical music meets wine at Introspections

Sommelier-in-training Ida Pelliccioli presents Introspections on 28 March at 7pm. The 90-minute event pairs classical piano performances with three French wines.
The programme explores early 20th-century composers including Sibelius, Fauré, Busoni, Janacek, and Ravel. Each musical piece is matched with a wine: Riesling, Champagne Solera, and Sauternes.
Sommelier-journalist Gérard Olivier and Philippe Faure-Brac guide the tasting. Faure-Brac was named World’s Best Sommelier in 1992.
Tickets cost $80 for Alliance Française members and $95 for non-members.
Jazz and dance performance opens season

Reflections in Red launches the season on 7 February at 7pm. The multidisciplinary show follows last year’s Reflections in Blue.
French drummer Neill Gautier leads the ensemble. He performs with French artist Carole Bocquet, Dutch performer Karst de Jong, Eric Tinsay Valles, bassist Tony Makarome, visual artist Khaitama, and dancer Janelle Tan.
The performance combines live piano, drums, contemporary dance, poetry, and projected visual art. The colour red symbolises intensity and bold expression, reflecting the wine theme.

Tickets are priced at $28 for members, $35 for non-members, and $110 for a four-ticket group pack. Students and seniors pay $25.
Immersive theatre experience with wine tasting

In Vino Veritas (In wine, there is truth) runs on 27 and 28 February, The Theatre Ensemble transforms Alliance Française into a multi-room performance space.
Groups of 12 move through different rooms experiencing scenes, poems, songs, and monologues. Settings include a bistro, champagne party, and vineyard harvest.
The 90-minute show is conducted in French. New groups start every 10 minutes between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
Each performance ends with a guided wine tasting curated to match the theatrical themes. Tickets cost $30 for members, $40 for non-members, and $120 for four tickets.
Art workshops with champagne
Monthly Art & Bubbles Workshops run from 7pm to 9pm. French artist D’Gers teaches different visual art techniques.
One session pairs watercolour painting with wine tasting. Participants create artwork based on their tasting impressions.
