New Restaurants and Cafés to Check Out in Singapore in April 2026

From Filipino pastries in Tanjong Pagar to Korean barbecue with a view, Singapore’s dining scene gains several notable additions recently. Here are new restaurants and cafés to check out in Singapore in April 2026.

Tutto by Da Paolo – Italian trattoria at Holland Village space

Tutto by Da Paolo

Tutto by Da Paolo opened at One Holland Village, occupying the ground-floor space formerly held by Privé. The restaurant is the latest addition to the Da Paolo group’s portfolio and positions itself as a casual Italian eatery with freshly made pasta and hand-stretched Neapolitan pizzas.

The interior features a bold yellow colour scheme, repeated from the exterior through to the lamp shades, coffee machine, and pizza oven. The overall atmosphere is cosy, though reviewers have noted it leans more diner than trattoria in feel. Ordering is handled via a QR code system.

Tutto by Da Paolo Pizza

The pizza dough uses 100 per cent Italian flour, fermented for 72 hours. Prices start from $16 for the Margherita. Pasta dishes include the Ragù di Pollo ($19), a campanelle with chicken ragù slow-cooked in herbs and white wine. Starters such as Polpette al Sugo ($16) — three beef meatballs in tomato sauce — and a handful of desserts complete the menu. All dishes are priced below $30.

Chimi’s Especial – Latin American fare at Customs House

Chimi's Especial on the bayfront

Chimichanga, which started in 2016 as a small Latin American restaurant in Little India, is marking its tenth year in business with the opening of Chimi’s Especial. The new restaurant occupies a 180-seat space at Customs House, with indoor dining and a large outdoor terrace facing Marina Bay.

While the original brand built its name on “Sing-Mex” flavours, Chimi’s Especial ranges more broadly across the South American continent. The menu draws on culinary traditions from Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and beyond. Among the signature dishes, the Pollo a la Brasa is a Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken with a deep marinade and smoky finish. The Wagyu Entraña Asado references the asado grilling traditions of Argentina and Uruguay. For something lighter, the Pulpo Asado al Carbón features charcoal-grilled octopus with coastal Peruvian and Baja Mexican influences, while the Sándwich de Pastrami Puerto Rico comes with a Peruvian aji verde sauce. Desserts include the Maracuyá Tres Leches, a passionfruit-flavoured sponge cake soaked in three milks and the Quesillo, a caramel flan common in Mexico and Venezuela.

For the CBD lunch crowd, a three-course weekday set starts from $25, including a soft drink. Happy hour runs daily from 12 noon to 7pm, with drinks from $8.

Café Mary Grace – Filipino bakery-café in Tanjong Pagar

Café Mary Grace Singapore

After more than three decades and over 140 branches in the Philippines, Café Mary Grace has opened its first overseas outpost on Tras Street. Founded in 1994 by Mary Grace Dimacali, the brand began as home baking for family and friends before growing into a brick-and-mortar kiosk in 2002 and its first full café in 2006.

The 28-seater space, spread across 1,211 square feet, features stained-glass pendant lights, warm wood accents, and a collaborative mural by Filipino artist Amanda Lapus Santos and Singaporean artist Eunice Hannah Lim. True to the founder’s hands-on approach, Dimacali personally selected and arranged every piece of décor. Guests will also find photographs and handwritten notes beneath the tables — a tradition carried over from the Philippines, where visitors are invited to add their own messages.

Café Mary Grace Signatures - Ensaymada, Cheese Roll and Hot Chocolate

The menu centres on the chain’s signature Ensaymada ($5.50), a light, buttery brioche topped with aged Edam cheese, and the Cheese Roll ($4.30), with a smooth, creamy cheese filling. Two Singapore-exclusive creations join them: a Salted Egg Ensaymada ($6.50) and a Kaya Pandan Cheese Roll ($5.30). For dessert, the Mango Bene ($14.50 petite) layers crisp meringue with custard cream and fresh mango.

For heartier options, the menu includes the Angus Beef Tapa ($25.50), served with rosemary or garlic fried rice and eggs, and the Grilled Chicken Inasal Focaccia ($19.50). The Crabcake Brioche ($27) — golden crab cakes on ensaymada brioche — is another Singapore-only creation. Packaged bakes such as Queso de Bola Lengua Thins ($24) and Butter Lengua Thins ($21) are also available for takeaway. The café opens Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 6pm.

Seoul & So – Korean barbecue at National Gallery Singapore

Seoul & So at National Gallery Singapore

Seoul & So opened on 15 March at National Gallery Singapore’s Level 5, making it the first Korean barbecue concept to set up in the heritage building. The restaurant is the work of the Rhee siblings, the second-generation team behind Seoul Restaurant at Conrad Singapore Orchard.

Unlike the first-generation outlet, Seoul & So takes a more contemporary approach. Tables do not come with individual tabletop grills. Instead, dedicated grilling stations handle the cooking tableside, keeping the experience interactive without crowding the dining surface. The set-up suits smaller portions, which is the format Seoul & So uses for its barbecue meats.

Diners can look out towards the Ng Teng Fong Roof Garden Gallery installations from their seats. The menu includes premium cuts such as Hanwoo (Korean beef), Handon (Korean pork), Japanese and Australian wagyu, USDA Prime, and Iberico. Weekday set lunches start from $35. Dinner offers à la carte or a tasting menu for sharing.

Nonyanita Café at Chef X – Peranakan dishes reimagined as café fare in Clarke Quay

Nonyanita Café - Chef Jean

Chef Jean Tan’s Nonyanita Café is running as the latest residency at Chef X in Clarke Quay Central, from 23 March to 17 May 2026. Tan, who previously offered private home dining experiences under the Nonyanita name, has adapted her Peranakan recipes into a more accessible café format: grain bowls, sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Nonyanita Café

The Nasi Ulam Grain Bowl ($20) is among the most labour-intensive items on the menu. Each component is prepared by hand — herbs finely sliced, aromatics ground, fish fried and deboned, and fried prawns placed on top. For those who prefer bolder flavours, the Nonya Chicken Curry ($15) or the Assam Fish Grain Bowl ($16) offer well-established Peranakan profiles.

Sandwiches include the Chicken Rendang ($16) and the Itek Sio Sandwich ($23), which features duck braised for three to five hours in spices, tamarind juice, and aromatic alliums. The Papaya & Prawns Titek Soup ($16) is a rarer Peranakan dish: papayas paired with prawns in a light broth, garnished with daun kemangi.

For dessert, the Keluak Cookies ($3 each, $30 per dozen) use the flesh of buah keluak nuts — a cornerstone of Peranakan cooking — to produce a chocolate-tasting biscuit without any chocolate or dairy. The Sugee Cake ($6.50 per slice) and Pulot Hitam with Dried Longans ($8) round out the sweets. Chef X seats 24 diners and the café opens Tuesday to Saturday, 11.30am to 2.30pm and 6pm to 9.30pm.

Daily Restaurant – Fusion Cuisine at Lentor Modern

Daily Restaurant

Daily, the Western-fusion arm of the Da Hock dining group, officially opened at Lentor Modern. It sits next to Da Hock’s other brand, Chef Wen (Chinese Noodles and Dishes), at the same address.

Daily’s menu blends Italian, French, and Japanese cooking with local flavours. The headline launch item is the Artisanal Pink Pizza (available from the opening), made with a dragonfruit-tinted dough base, topped with cheese, rosebuds, and specially imported ham — a reference to the local coffeeshop drink Bandung. Beyond the pizza, the Squid Ink Pasta with Crab-Flavoured Seafood Broth ($25) draws on Fujian flavours, as does the Fujian Sha-Cha Prawn Pasta ($22), which owner Yang Li describes as a recipe from her hometown.

Other options include a Sous-Vide Beef Garden Salad ($20), a Spicy Beef Red Cabbage Panini Sourdough ($20), and a Teriyaki Beef, Mushroom and Egg Yolk Rice Bowl ($21). Steak cuts are also available.
