PLQ Mall has become a popular dining destination. Across the road from the mall is PLQ Parkside, a mini park with an outdoor playground for children. There are a few eateries around the green space. One of them is the newly opened Jasmine Cafe & Kitchen, which serves local, Western, Japanese and Thai dishes.

Moving away from decor that evokes Bangkok street scene to interiors designed to be more like the trendy cafes of the Thai capital city. Bangkok Jam Bugis+ is one of the new look outlets with modern colourful interiors that makes it a photogenic space for a Thai meal.
Chalerm Thai Singapore is a new Thai restaurant in The Capitol Kempinski Hotel. Situated in The Arcade section of the hotel, it adds to the dining options at Capitol Piazza. There has been some changes in the row of restaurants facing Capitol Theatre. A few new eateries have opened recently. One of them is Chalerm Thai where we had lunch recently.

Basil & Thyme is a new restaurant in Parkland Green in East Coast Park serving Thai food and Western bar food. The new restaurant by the sea is part of the Kinara Group, which also runs the Patro’s Sports Bar & Restaurant next door.
