Odette Singapore restaurant at the National Gallery has won a lot of accolades in the short span of five years. From zero to three Michelin Stars. Unfortunately prices seemed to keep pace with the awards. We had almost given up hope of dining there. Until now.
In trying times, a good meal in a nice restaurant can lift the spirits. Our meal at the one Michelin star Restaurant JAG was certainly a cheerful and uplifting occasion. We had a lunch of quality food with white linen service at a reasonable price.
Gather is a new cafe in Raffles Arcade which specialized in savoury and sweet crepes. It occupies the corner of Raffles Hotel where Ah Teng’s Bakery used to be. Gather is a good affordable dining option in the Raffles Hotel complex and a convenient spot for good coffee and French crêpes and galettes.
Le Bourguignon Tokyo is a one star Michelin restaurant. It is located in Nishi-Azabu (西麻布), a nice area near Roppongi Hills. Like many posh restaurants, the affordable lunch menus are the way to get a fine dining without spending too much time or money. Le Bourguignon has prix fixe lunch courses priced at ¥ 3,800 and ¥ 4,800. Which made it an interesting place for us to have a nice lunch in Tokyo in early 2020.
Poulet + Brasserie (or P+) is a new dining concept by the Minor Food Group. The new restaurant at ION Orchard is an extension of the popular Poulet chain which is known for its French roast chicken and duck confit. The menu offers more than poultry dishes and has all-day breakfast dishes and pasta as well as fish and meat for mains. P+ also offers a very affordably priced 3 Course Feast menu.
