Rhubarb Singapore Michelin Star Restaurant on Duxton Hill

Rhubarb Le Restaurant is a French restaurant situated in the dining oasis at Duxton Hill. The several rows of shophouses there are choc-a-bloc with restaurants and food places. Finding a restaurant here is easy, it is the parking lots that are elusive. Rhubarb Singapore is located right next to the Flor Patisserie  and just across the open-air carpark. They received a one Michelin Star in the 2016 Singapore Michelin Guide.

Le Sputnik – Michelin starred French restaurant in Roppongi Tokyo that is easy to like

Le Sputnik (ル・スプートニク) was the first Tokyo restaurant that we decided on for our recent trip. It was easy to decide on this modern French restaurant in Roppongi, Tokyo.  It has a one Michelin Star rating, good reviews and most importantly, a user-friendly website.  While the online booking sites of some other highly rated restaurants were more intent on ensuring we do not default on our booking by securing credit card and hotel details, le Sputnik asked questions about our dietary preferences and whether it was our first visit.  Apparently they maintain a database of customers and try to serve different dishes for repeat customers.

Le Bistrot du Sommelier – French restaurant on Armenian Street

Le Bistrot du Sommelier is a French restaurant located at the end of a row of restored shophouses along Armenian Street.  There are some notable establishments that live further up the street such as the Singapore Registry of Marriages, the Substation and the Peranakan Museum. There are many other museums nearby such as the National Museum and the National Gallery. Le Bistrot du Sommelier therefore provides a convenient location for a refreshment stop when one is taking a walk around this part of the historical and cultural district of Singapore.  It also looks like a good venue for celebrations after getting hitched at the ROM!
