Jiang Nan Chun is a Chinese restaurant located on the second floor of the Four Seasons Hotel.
At lunch time it offers a dim sum menu as well as a few set lunch options. Today we decided to go with the Set B. As you can see from the pictures, Jiang Nan Chuan has refined the Chinese culinary experience beyond that of simply tasting good to a level akin to the Japanese experience of “eating with your eyes”. The presentation of the food, the crockery used and the service were of a very high level.
The lunch starts with a duo of dim sum, followed by a very calming birds nest soup. The following two dishes of beef tenderloin and noodles were more than enough to satisfy all but the most demanding appetites. The dessert was a mango pudding-like concoction with a smattering of some fruits and other chewy bits for texture. All in all, the $49++ lunch was very enjoyable, but it is not for those who have to eat in haste. If you have two hours or more to spare to lunch at this oasis to escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby Orchard Road, this is a most highly recommended place.
