House of ANLI Bistro Menu
We went to House of ANLI in Tanglin Mall for brunch and was immediately impressed by its fabulous decor and premium cutlery. The wait staff looked dapper in their smart aprons. It was a little surprising to find that their menu consisted of two laminated sheets. House of ANLI Bistro’s menu is a simple one that is good throughout the day. Freshly baked pastries, brunch dishes as well as a few European gourmet mains are available. It also has a selection of Allpress coffee, Mariage Frères teas, Belgian beers and exclusive champagne from Virginie T.
Brunch at House of ANLI Bistro
We ordered the beef cheek ($28) and the Organic Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough Toast ($9) with Bacon ($6). Black coffee was $4.50. GST and service charge would be added to the bill.
The food was served quite soon after our order was taken. The service staff were efficient and generally professional, though a few of them could be friendlier.
Organic Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough Toast with Bacon were well prepared and presented. The highlight of the dish was the delightful dark orange eggs. It was a simple dish but there was nothing average about it. It was delicious.
The braised beef cheek with beer was excellent. It was hearty and flavourful. The beef was stringy, juicy and meltingly tender. The sauce was rich and luscious. The dish might look deceptively uninteresting but it was a treat to the palate. It had character. Very enjoyable.
The House of ANLI in Tanglin Mall has succeeded in creating a comfortable oasis in which to relax, unwind and enjoy good food. The bistro is beautiful and the setting is unpretentious and convivial. House of ANLI Bistro has the kind of charm that makes it an instant favourite with guests. We will be going back there for more.
