Berthold Delikatessen Capitol Piazza

Berthold Delikatessen is a pleasant cafe at Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski Singapore 178906. It is mostly a coffee and desserts kind of place with a selection of sandwiches and salads for those in search of a light and quick lunch.

Berthold Delikatessen Capitol Piazza is a small, cosy bakery cafe. Like the other restaurants at the Arcade, diners can enjoy a bright alfresco dining experience while cocooned in airconditioned comfort. It is situated on the ground floor, right across the Capitol Theatre. A most convenient place to grab a drink or two before or after the show.

The beautiful display of cakes at Berthold Delikatessen Capitol Piazza called out to us. Like bees drawn to honey, we answered. We also found the layout of the cafe to be attractive. The inner area is enclosed and private while the outer area is exposed to the natural light from the sky and a good place to people watch.

We found a table under the palm tree and felt like we were dining in a cafe in a park. We already had lunch elsewhere and only had coffee and dessert that day.

We picked out a pastry item from the cake display. I cannot remember the name of it but it was both beautiful and delicious. Coffee at Berthold Delikatessen was also very good. The price of $5 for a cup of cappuccino was reasonable for such a beautiful cafe. I can’t think of a nicer place in this area to have a cup of coffee and a light snack.
