Dinner at Muen Wang Thai Kitchen

We had dinner at Muen Wang Thai Kitchen in Tiong Bahru Market and Food Centre recently. We ordered a Sweet & Sour Pork Set Meal ($8.50) and the Thai Green Curry ($6) with Rice.

The Sweet & Sour Pork Set Meal was rather nicely plated, with a bowl of soup served separately. The portion size was quite generous. The salad and tom yum soup had authentic Thai flavours. The pork was tender and well coated with the delectable Thai sweet and sour sauce, made with onion, red peppers, tamarind and other ingredients.

Muen Wang Thai Kitchen Green Curry

The bowl of Green Curry Chicken was a bit larger than we had expected. Besides chucks of chicken, there were lots of vegetables in the bowl. The green curry was aromatic and flavourful, with natural sweetness derived from the coconut milk. It had sufficient spiciness to give a nice kick without being overpowering. With plain steamed rice, we got a complete meal which included proteins, carbohydrates, lots of vegetables and some superfoods like galangal, basil leaves and green chillies.

Our dinner at Muen Wang Thai Kitchen in Tiong Bahru was enjoyable. We had an inexpensive delectable healthy meal which brought smiles to our faces.
