Singapore’s food scene is constantly changing, with new places to eat popping up all the time. There are a number of interesting new restaurants, offering dishes from all over the world, that are sure to delight Singaporean diners in August 2024.
Here is a list of new restaurants August 2024 which caught our attention. We have not been to every one of these places, though we wish we can check them all out. Be adventurous and go find out for yourself what these brand new restaurants are all about.
MoVida Singapore Spanish Restaurant in Raffles City
MoVida Original, Australia’s popular hatted Spanish restaurant unveils its first standalone outlet in Singapore in Raffles City.
Tapas takes centre stage at MoVida with some Singapore-exclusive dishes including the Abalon, Croqueta de Langosta and Tartaleta. For diners seeking a heartier serving, choose from an array of raciónes or main dishes like Paella De Señorito, Cecina, and the Canalones.

hayop – fine-casual Filipino restaurant
Inspired by Manam, Manila’s feted Filipino restaurant, hayop is a casual offshoot that serves classic and inventive takes on familiar Filipino comfort food.
On its menu are Manila favourites like Manam’s House Crispy Sisig (Pork jowl and cheek) and Wagyu & Watermelon Sinigang as well as Singapore specials Kinilaw (raw Hamachi slices or Kuruma Ebi, lightly cured in local spices) and Piyanggang Manok (chicken first charcoal-grilled, then braised in a sauce of spices).

Mensho Tokyo Ramen in Raffles City
This new restaurant in Raffles City is the 18th outlet of the award-winning chain that have a Michelin-recognized San Francisco branch, as well as locations in Bangkok, Melbourne and New Delhi. Mensho Tokyo caters to all palates, from adventurous ramen lovers to comforting classic seekers.
The signature dish – Duck Matcha Ramen – features housemade wavy noodles in a creamy chicken broth infused with matcha, topped with tender duck chashu and a touch of whipped cream for a touch of decadence. Read more.
