Parc Seoul is a small restaurant serving traditional Korean food in the Hannam district of Seoul. We found this area to be most interesting, with old shops as well as new and hip ones. It seems to be a bustling area for residents and visitors alike. The restaurant caters to both with an easy reservation / queue number system and menus in Korean and English.

We did not see any restaurant signboard on our way there. So the easier identifier is the cheerful signboard that announces its 10th anniversary in 2013.
What to Eat Near Leeum Museum of Art
We did not visit many museums during our visit to South Korea but this one was high on our shortlist. According to Wikipedia. “The Leeum Museum of Art is a museum in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul, South Korea. It is run by the Samsung Foundation of Culture. It is considered one of South Korea’s top three private art museums.” The visit to this modern museum was certainly memorable. Being in the neighbourhood of Hannam, there are many food choices nearby. We decided on Parc Seoul as it was the nearest one and has a decent Google review rating of 4.3 stars.

Parc Seoul Restaurant Menu
According to the restaurant website, “PARC, which translates to park in the famed romance language of Catalan, serves traditional Korean food inspired from authentic family recipes by owner Pak Mogua’s mother, Heo Junghee, that have been passed down through generations of family.” Here is a picture of the “today’s lunch” menu at the time of our visit. We decided on a Spring Special Set Menu with octopus salad (KRW32,000) and a US Black Angus beef ribs (KRW 39,000).

Lunch in Hannam, Seoul
This is a bird’s eye view of our lunch. We think that having food served in multiple containers make it look more attractive. We were also happy that the food arrived simultaneously so that eating can start at the same time.

Special Set Lunch At Parc Seoul
We were initially disappointed with the Spring Special Set Menu with octopus salad when it first arrived. The slices of octopus were few and small, clearly overpowered by the vegetables.

But the seafood soup sort of made up for it with its light yet complex flavour. It was a set lunch suitable for those in search of a light meal, leaving room to eat for later.

Black Angus Beef Ribs
The meat dish was a more substantial one. With 300g of U.S Black Angus beef ribs sliced thinly, it was easy t o manoeuvre and get at the meaty parts.

The marinated meat was tender and flavourful. This was a dish we would return to Parc Seoul to eat again. A more basic soup was served with the beef together with the same side dishes.

A simple meal made complete with Korean beer.
