Following the success of their ginseng-infused afternoon tea last year, the South Korean luxury skincare brand Sulwhasoo has once again partnered with the Sofitel Singapore City Centre to present Sulwhasoo Café, a pop-up culinary experience focused on wellness. Situated within the hotel’s elegant 1864 bar and lounge, the café will welcome guests daily from 11 am to 6 pm, between 17 May and 13 July 2025.
Korean wellness traditions with French culinary techniques
Sulwhasoo, a global luxury beauty brand, positions itself as one that blends traditional Korean medicine with modern science to create skincare solutions aimed at achieving harmony between skin, body, and mind. This café experience is an extension of this philosophy, offering a tangible way for customers to engage with the brand’s focus on holistic well-being.
The menu at Sulwhasoo Café draws inspiration from Korean beauty rituals and incorporates ingredients traditionally valued in both skincare and cuisine. These include ginseng, known for its revitalising properties, collagen, jujube, Nashi pear, and mugwort. The café offers diners the choice of a two-course menu, featuring either a main course and a starter or a main course and a dessert, priced at $45. A more extensive three-course experience, encompassing a starter, main, and dessert, is available for $65. Guests also have the option to order dishes à la carte.
The culinary offerings aim to bridge Korean wellness traditions with French culinary techniques. The menu subtly integrates nourishing ingredients, reflecting Sulwhasoo’s holistic approach to beauty. Diners can anticipate a refined experience where familiar flavours are reimagined with a Parisian touch.
Complimentary Beauty Kit
Beyond the dining experience, Sulwhasoo is offering guests a complimentary beauty kit with qualifying spends on the café menu. Those who spend a minimum of $40 will receive a three-piece Sulwhasoo Daily Routine Kit, valued at $60. This kit includes a 25ml Gentle Cleansing Foam, an 8ml First Care Activating Serum, and a 5ml Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenation Cream.
For guests who opt for the full three-course menu at $65, a four-piece Sulwhasoo Anti-Aging Kit, worth $110, will be provided. This kit contains an 8ml First Care Activating Serum, a 5ml Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Serum, a 5ml Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Cream, and a 3ml Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Eye Cream. It is important to note that the minimum spend applies only to items ordered from the Sulwhasoo Café menu, and purchases from the regular bar or restaurant menus are not eligible. The beauty kits are available on a first-come-first-served basis, while stocks last, and the spending tiers are not stackable. Guests ordering the three-course set will exclusively receive the four-piece Anti-Aging Kit.
