Where to dine in January 2026: New openings, refreshed menus and special promotions

As we enter 2026, restaurants across Singapore are rolling out fresh menus, limited-time promotions and new concepts. From Italian brunches to Indonesian buffets, here are few of the new and interersting dining options available this January 2026.

Food Capital at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore introduces its first Peranakan buffet from 2 January to 8 February 2026. The menu rotates through dishes such as deep-fried pomfret with sambal chilli and bakwan kepiting. A special showcase on 6 January features a kebaya display, performances by The Peranakan Voices choir and Chef Shirley Tay.

Lunch is priced at $72 per adult on weekdays, while dinner costs $102 on Sundays to Thursdays and $112 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Bar Somma at New Bahru offers Soulful Cocktails & Plates

Bar Somma at New Bahru launched an expanded menu on 31 December 2025. Food highlights include radiatori with river crab at $34 and Angus steak tartare at $28. The cocktail list is divided into three sections: Aperitivo, Savoury and Renewed Classics. Drinks range from $22 to $32.

Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza offers all things lobster and tropical afternoon tea

Crossroads Cafe at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel runs an All Things Lobster menu from 1 January to 31 March 2026. Dishes include baked lobster pasta with spicy tomato sauce at $56, lobster wild rice salad at $49 and lobster mornay au gratin at $45. A lobster brioche roll with Japanese mayonnaise is available at $41.

Weekday specials are priced at $30 and include wings with truffle fries on Mondays, build-your-own tacos on Tuesdays and four-cheese pizza on Thursdays. Happy hour runs Monday to Thursday from 11am to 8pm, with drinks at $13 per glass.

Lobby Lounge at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel serves Tropical Paradise Afternoon Tea from 1 January to 31 March 2026. The menu includes mini coconut mango mousse cake, raspberry rose swan choux and yuzu chocolate sea shell. Savoury items feature smoked salmon and fish roe sandwiches and crab and avocado tartlets on weekends.

Swissôtel The Stamford collaborates with Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue from 6 January to 1 February 2026. At CLOVE Executive sous chef Adi presents dishes from Bali, Manado and East Nusa Tenggara. The menu features bebek betutu with yellow rice, sei sapi sambal luat with smoked wagyu beef ribs and benggiri masak woku. Live stations include satay lilit on lemongrass sticks.

Beyond the Indonesian spread, the buffet also features CLOVE signatures such as Swiss Raclette melted to order, bone-in Swiss Ham at the carving station, fresh Seafood on Ice, salads and greens from the hotel’s Aquaponics Farm, live Satay Lilit stations and traditional desserts including Martabak Manis Ketan Hitam and Pisang Rai.

Bottega di Carna at Mondrian Singapore Duxton will launch its Italian Sunday Champagne Brunch on 11 January 2026. Held on the second Sunday of each month, the buffet spotlights three Italian regions per edition. January features Toscana, Emilia-Romagna and Lazio. The spread includes buffalo mozzarella, Italian cold cuts, porchetta and parmigiano cheese wheel truffle macaroni pasta.

Elephant Grounds opens at Guoco Midtown

The Hong Kong cafe will make its Singapore debut on 10 January 2026 at Guoco Midtown. Known for house-roasted specialty coffee and all-day dining, Elephant Grounds operates as a roastery, bakery and restaurant.

The Singapore outlet is the second globally to feature an on site production kitchen with a dedicated baking team. Fresh breads, pastries and croissants will be baked throughout the day. The signature croissant uses a non-traditional lamination technique combining French and Japanese methods. Varieties include chocolate, almond and banoffee.

Coffee beans are sourced from Ijen Lestari, a Cup of Excellence-winning farm in East Java, and roasted in-house. The OG Blend is available as whole beans, drip bags and capsules. The drinks menu also includes premium matcha, teas and alcoholic options.

Food offerings span all day brunch items such as shakshuka served with toasted sourdough, chorizo and feta, or a plant-based version with tofu and zucchini. Pancakes come with maple syrup or wild berries. The açai yoghurt bowl features Founders’ Granola made with rolled oats, dried apricots and maple syrup.

Sushiro opens at Novena Square 2

Sushiro launches its 18th Singapore outlet at Novena Square 2 on 8 January 2026. The opening coincides with the Claws for Celebration promotion, running from 7 January to 3 February. Crab-focused dishes include red snow crab with uni and ikura gunkan at $4.90 and spider roll with crab meat and salmon roe at $3.90.

Two for One Promotions run from 8 to 21 January. The first week features bluefin fatty tuna at $4.90 and big cut fresh salmon at $2.90. The second week includes medium fatty tuna and jumbo scallop, both at $3.90. Premium Malts and Kaku Highball are available at $6 each.

Customers spending $50 in a single receipt receive limited edition Dakkosushi Chinese New Year red packets with an $8 return voucher valid from 1 February to 30 April.
