Sushi Lunch at Wisma Atria / Sushiro Pokemon Collaboration

The Pokemon pictures outside the Wisma Atria outlet were enough to tilt the balance for these undecided diners. The original choice for lunch was Providore but that seemed to have closed. So Plan B was either the foodcourt upstairs or Sushiro. In the end, the peace and quiet offered by this conveyor belt sushi and our curiosity about the Sushiro Pokemon Collaboration won.

Sushiro Wisma Atria

SUSHIRO is said to be Japan’s leading kaiten sushi chain. Internationally, it has more than 670 outlets and serves about 150 million customers every year. In yesterday’s Business Times, it was reported that Sushiro is re-entering the US market. They had tried to enter the US market in 2015, but pulled out a year later.

In Singapore, they seem to be doing well. In 2023, Sushiro opened this Wisma outlet, a stone’s throw from their larger outlet at Isetan Scotts. This outlet is quite compact, a scaled down version of its larger outlets but the sushi conveyor belt system and table spaces are the same.

We soon learned about the details of the Sushiro Pokemon collab from the posters within the restaurant. Sadly there were no pokemon shaped sushi rolls or other food. But a special menu has been created. Order these items and the customer can get some Pokemon stickers.

Sushiro Pokemon Collaboration Singapore : Keychains and Lanyards

Ordering one of these sushi platters gives the customer a more substantial gift of a Pokemon themed keychain or lanyard. Finally, customers can purchase a Pokemon towel for $13.90 with a dine in total of at least $20. We didn’t think that these items were interesting to us and focused on our sushi order instead. The Pokemon event is rolled out in two waves with different products offered in the respective phases. The first wave is from 10 Sep to 30 Sep 2026 and the second from 1 Oct to 22 Oct 2026.

What We Ate at Wisma Atria

This is our first wave of orders. Some sushi and one ramen item.

Sushiro Pokemon Collaboration Singapore Campaign

The medium fatty tuna ($3.90 gold plate), tuna ($2.30, red plate) and swordfish are our typical sushi choices. Sushiro is quite consistent with these classic items. The medium fatty tuna is quite expensive compared to the regular tuna, but we can taste the difference.

This was our first time trying the maguro dashi shoyu ramen with egg ($8.60). It is quite substantial and so would be a good choice for hungry people. Other than that, its taste was somewhat one-dimensional. Just salty.

Another cooked food dish we tried at Sushiro was a mixed tempura dish ($6.90). Made with pieces of vegetables, two prawns and one seafood item ( I think it is squid), it was a nice snack dish. It would go well with a glass of beer.

The rest of our lunch was mainly made up of individual orders of specific items. Scallop sushi ($4.90 black plate) was sweet and juicy and one of the best items of the day.

The fresh young yellowtail ($3.90, picture above) and the tempura prawn sushi ($2.90) were also pretty good items that provide a good mix of flavours and textures together with the other items.

Overall, a pretty peaceful lunch at Sushiro Wisma on a weekday. It was a pity we did not participate in the Sushiro Pokemon Collaboration Singapore Campaign to bring home a Charmander or Snorlax. Somehow, the stickers, key chains and lanyards did not really resonate with us.
