Homegrown restaurant chain Cedele has been offering wholesome predictable food from convenient locations all over Singapore. Even when dining out is not possible, many of their outlets remain open for takeaway. It is also possible to place orders online at Cedele Market for delivery or self-collection.
Takeaway from Cedele
We went to Cedele Parkway Parade for takeaway just before the enhanced circuit breaker measures kicked in. We ordered Mushroom Beef Burger ($17), Pesto Chicken Sandwich ($9.50), Rosemary Chicken Sandwich ($9.50) and a slice of Red Velvet Cake.
Beef Burger
Healthy food need not look boring. Cedele’s grilled beef burger with pumpkin bun was colourful. The beef was juicy and tasty and the lettuce & tomato were refreshing and added contrasting textures. The onion marmalata was sweet. Everything combined well. It was a nice enjoyable burger, though a tad expensive we thought.
Sandwiches
The roasted chicken sandwich was better value for money. The chicken was succulent and tender. The basil pesto was aromatic and flavourful. It was what we would expect of a simple yet satisfying sandwich.
The sandwich we liked best was the Rosemary Chicken Sandwich. Shredded chicken with cranberry sauce, lettuce and tomato were neatly laid out in between a pumpkin bun. The cross section looked like some geographical features. It was a very enjoyable sandwich.
Cake
Cedele’s cakes are sweetened with organic unrefined sugar and and they do do not use artificial colouring. The naturally coloured red velvet cake frosted with vanilla cream cheese looked good. It was not too sweet. The slice of cake made us feel happy. That was as good a reason as any to eat it.
Cedele Takeaway & Delivery
Cedele now has several channels for us to get food from them. We can pre-order via Whatsapp for contactless pick-up at certain of Cedele outlets or go directly to buy from those outlets that remain open. We can also order online. The Menu is quite extensive – besides bread, cupcakes and sandwiches, there are grain bowls, pasta, all day brunch and grills.
Do check the current Takeaway Menu and the status of the outlets that remain open as Cedele, like other F&B businesses in Singapore, are operating under a fast changing regulatory environment in unusual circumstances.
