Jai Siam Restaurant is a new Thai casual dining restaurant in SingPost Centre. It offers affordable Thai dishes and cater to a wide customer base – with vegetarian options and MUIS Halal certification.

Jai Siam Restaurant
Jai Siam is in the food catering business offering reasonably priced bento sets and party sets. It has a restaurant in Dhoby X’Change and has recently opened a new outlet in SingPost Centre at Paya Lebar.

The new Jai Siam Restaurant in SingPost Centre looks like the typical casual dining restaurants in Singapore. It is brightly lit with fairly generic but pleasant decor.

Jai Siam Menu
The menu of Jai Siam Restaurant is quite extensive. It offers the usual Thai staples as well as one dish meals and sets for individuals and families. Each table will have a tablet computer which serves as the digital menu as well as a self-ordering device.
Below are a few random pages of the physical menu and screenshots of the digital menu.

Jai Siam Set Meals
We visited the new Jai Siam Restaurant in Paya Lebar and ordered 2 individual sets – Rice with Fish Tamarind and Egg ($9.80) and Olive Rice Set ($11.80). Each set would include a hot or cold beverage. No GST or service charge would be added to the bill.

The fish with rice set was simple and straightforward – plain steamed rice with a few pieces of fish and topped with a fried egg. The crispy fish fillet was not bad and we liked the tangy sauce.

The Olive Rice Set was more interesting. Mango Salad, Bean Curd Green Curry, Fried Vegetables and Fried Fish Fillet were served in a round plastic platter. Chilli sauce meant for the fish was in the centre of the platter. The olive rice was served separately.

The green curry was good and tasted like authentic Thai green curry. The other items were pretty standard and about what you would expect.
Simple Satisfying Meal

On the whole, we had a simple satisfying meal at Jai Siam. The food was quite nice in general – pretty much similar to what we could get in one of the eateries in Golden Mile.
