Menu of Tamoya Udon & Tempura

The menu of Tamoya Udon & Tempura is rather extensive, offering more than just udon and tempura. They also serve ramen, rice bowls, croquette and a variety of affordably priced bento sets.

Below are pictures of a section of the menu board and screenshots of the digital menu.

Lunch at Tamoya Udon & Tempura

We went for lunch at Tamoya Udon & Tempura but did not have udon, though we did savoured their tempura as part of a bento set.

We ordered the Truffle Tonkotsu Ramen ($13.90), Ebi Tempura Bento ($11.60) and Beef Bento ($12.60). Service charges and GST would be added to the menu prices.

The Truffle Tonkotsu Ramen looked inviting with colourful toppings which included corn, seaweed, egg, chashu and some truffle paste. The creamy pork bone broth was rich and flavourful. The ramen had a nice springy texture. The aroma from the truffle paste was strong but was not overpowering. It was a delicious bowl of ramen.

The Bento Set comprised a main item plus rice, pickles, salad and miso soup.

The Ebi Prawn Tempura had a light crispy batter. The lightness of the batter complemented the tender prawn inside which had subtle natural sweetness. There was a harmonious balance of flaours and textures to make the tempra item a delightful one.

The Beef Bento Set also came with pieces of mushroom tempura and half a seasoned egg. The thinly sliced beef with soy sauce marinade was tender and juicy and went very well with white steamed rice. Tamoya’s beef bento set was a satisfying meal well worth the price.

Lunch Crowd Hit

Tamoya Udon & Tempura Singapore @ SingPost is clearly a hit with the lunch crowd. It fills up very quickly as soon as it opens for lunch on a weekday. Tamoya gets the formula right catering to the average office lunch crowd – it has a menu with varied items, prices are reasonable with options that cater to different budgets, there is a comfortable and welcoming space and, most importantly, the food is good enough to satisfy the discerning palates of the Singaporean office workers.
