Scarpetta, a fresh pasta bar concept, opens at 47 Amoy Street with a menu centred around artisanal pasta. It aims to honour the Italian dining ritual of La Scarpetta – the act of mopping up sauce with bread.

The new pasta restaurant is walk-in only. It seats 30 guests, including 16 at the Chef’s Table which gives a close-up view of dishes being made by Chef Danny Ng. The open kitchen turns cooking into a bit of a show, so you can see the chefs at work and be sure your dish is served at its best.
The concept revolves around the Italian tradition of La Scarpetta, emphasising the enjoyment of every aspect of the meal, down to the last drop of sauce.

Scarpetta’s menu begins with appetisers such as Cozze alla Marinara ($18), featuring blue mussels in a spicy tomato broth, and Burrata ($18) with cherry tomatoes and pesto. The Tuscan Toasts (from $12) showcase Schiacciata bread, a crispy variation of focaccia, topped with ingredients like Stracciatella cheese and uni[1].
The pasta selection forms the core of Scarpetta’s offerings. Dishes include:
Cacio e Pepe ($20) with crispy guanciale;
Spicy alla Vodka ($21); and
Bolognese Ravioli ($26) filled with beef cheek and bone marrow
True to its name, each pasta dish comes with warm Schiacciata bread for sauce mopping.
