Bǎo Bāo’s Heart-Shaped Mantou: A Mother’s Day Treat Idea
Homegrown bao brand Bǎo Bāo presents a limited-edition “Love You, Mummy” Mantou, offering a unique food gift idea for Mother’s Day. This special creation is available until 11 May 2025.

The heart-shaped mantou gets its vibrant pink colour from dragon fruit purée. It is made using a natural yeast starter that Bǎo Bāo has cultivated in-house for over two decades, combined with a 12 to 14-hour fermentation process. This results in a mantou with a springy and chewy texture.
Each box includes two “Love You, Mummy” Mantous. These are accompanied by two housemade sauces. Customers receive both a Rich Chocolate sauce and a Classic Orh Nee (yam) sauce, which is infused with shallot oil.
The special Mother’s Day set is priced at $8.80. It includes the two mantous and one of each sauce flavour. A $2 discount per box is offered when customers purchase 10 baos from Bǎo Bāo’s regular selection, which includes items like Roasted Char Siew Bao.
