News | SanSara’s New Menus with traditional Diwali Thali and Tiffin Sets

SanSara, the North Indian restaurant at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore, introduces festive offerings from October to December 2025. The restaurant announced two new offerings: a limited-time Diwali Thali and a new Tiffin dining concept.

Diwali Thali runs for six days

The Diwali Thali will be available from 18 to 23 October 2025. Priced at $88++ per person, it comes in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

The non-vegetarian thali starts with Punjabi Murgh Tikka served with raw mango coriander chutney. This is followed by Jal Tarang, which features pan-fried Hokkaido scallops in creamy coconut sauce. For the main course, diners receive Laal Maans, an Australian lamb shank in Rajasthani tomato-onion gravy. Finally, the meal concludes with Keshari Rasmalai, a cottage cheese patty in saffron milk.

The vegetarian version begins with Malai Broccoli roasted with nutmeg garam masala. Next comes Aaloobukhaara Hara Mutter Guller, described as green cakes with spiced prunes. The main dish is Paneer Rogan Josh, a Kashmiri speciality with cottage cheese in tomato gravy. Like its non-vegetarian counterpart, this thali also ends with Keshari Rasmalai.

Both options start with an amuse bouche. Additionally, each thali includes butter rice, asparagus and rice crisps as accompaniments.

Tiffin sets inspired by dabbawalla tradition

SanSara’s new menus for Tiffin Lunch and Dinner Sets are meals served in traditional copper tiffin carriers. The concept draws from India’s dabbawalla system, where home-cooked meals are delivered in stacked metal containers. Each tiffin set has four tiers. These include a chaat appetiser, a regional curry with naan or rice, a side dish and Indian sweets for dessert.

The lunch set is designed for one person. Priced at $48++ per set.

Lunch options include Goat Cheese Makai Asrafi, a sweet corn tikki stuffed with goat cheese. The main is Murgh Tikka Masala with clay oven roasted chicken. It comes with Zaffrani Pulao, basmati rice with clarified butter and Chilli Cheese Naan. Rasmalai serves as dessert.

The dinner set is meant for sharing between two people. It costs $88++ per set and launches on 2 December 2025.

Dinner starters include Gosht Seekh Kebab and Purple Sweet Potato Tikki Chaat layered with chana masala. Mains offer a choice between Dahi Wali Machli, a sea bass in spiced yoghurt curry, or Kadhai Masala Singara Mutter with water chestnuts and green peas. These come with Jeera Dhaniya Ghee Rice and Ajawani Laccha Parata. Desserts are Gajar Ki Halwa and Rasmalai.

The tiffin sets are available for dine-in only. Vegetarian options are provided and dishes can be adapted for vegan or gluten-free diets.
