Restaurant chain Eat 3 Bowls has opened a new outlet at SingPost Centre. The eatery specialises in Taiwanese comfort dishes at accessible prices.

Eat 3 Bowls at SingPost Centre
The outlet is located in the basement of SingPost Centre, next to Subway. The interior features simple but pleasant decor common to quick-service restaurants.

The space is compact. It accommodates slightly more than 20 diners at any one time. Tables are positioned close together, which is typical for casual dining spots in malls. Seating is functional. Therefore, this is primarily an eat-and-go establishment rather than somewhere to spend hours chatting.
The neat setup creates an efficient dining environment. However, the proximity of tables means conversations are easily overheard by neighbouring diners.
Ordering Process
Eat 3 Bowls operates as a self-service restaurant. Diners scan a QR code on the table to access the digital menu. Orders are placed through the online system. Subsequently, payment is processed digitally.
Once ready, orders are collected from the counter. The restaurant displays order numbers on digital screens, alerting customers when their meals are ready.
Menu
The menu features familiar Taiwanese dishes such as oyster mee sua, pork chop rice, egg crepes, as well as bubble tea. The pricing sits comfortably between food court offerings and full-service restaurants. Therefore, it positions Eat 3 Bowls as an affordable option for quick meals.

The Food: What We Tried
Eat 3 Bowls Signature Trio Combo

The Eat 3 Bowls Signature Trio Combo ($14.90) was a combination platter to showcase three popular items from the menu. It included Braised Pork Rice, Shredded Chicken Rice and Oyster Mee Sua in mini bowls.

The Shredded Chicken Rice was served with poached chicken, pulled into thin strips and drizzled with a soy sauce-based gravy. The chicken was tender and tasted quite similar to the breast meat found in our local chicken rice.

The traditional Taiwanese Oyster Mee Sua was a vermicelli soup with oysters and pork intestines. The noodles were very soft, and the broth was light. The oysters tasted fresh. A comforting and satisfying bowl of noodles.

Braised Pork Rice with Bubble Tea Set

The Braised Pork Rice Set ($11.90) combined a bowl of standard size bowl of Braised Pork Rice with a Boba Fresh Milk Tea.
The Braised Pork Rice (or lou rou fan) featured tender slices of pork belly served over steamed white rice. The meat was soft, and each piece was coated in a tasty savoury-sweet glaze. Overall, it was a fairly standard version of this Taiwanese restaurant staple.

The Boba Fresh Milk Tea was the standout item, offering a cold and refreshing contrast to the savoury rice dish.

Who Should Visit
Eat 3 Bowls suits solo diners looking for quick, affordable meals. Similarly, small groups of two to four people will find it convenient. It serves as a practical alternative to food courts, particularly for those seeking Taiwanese flavours.
The self-service format and compact space make it less suitable for business discussions. The close table arrangement does not provide privacy for intimate conversations.
Eat 3 Bowls delivers straightforward Taiwanese comfort food at reasonable prices. The dishes sampled were good enough, but not exceptional. None of the items disappointed, but neither did they exceed expectations. However, there are many items on the menu to try.
