Hotels and food & beveages establishments across Singapore have a series of dining experiences and events to commemorate International Women’s Day (8 March), a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. These initiatives highlight female culinary talent and support various social causes.


The St. Regis Singapore

The St. Regis Singapore features a collaboration with Hong Kong pastry chef Mandy Siu. Her Spring Elegance Afternoon Tea ($65++ per person) runs from 4 March to 17 May 2026 at The Tea Room and focuses on seasonal citrus flavours.

Sophia, a modern Italian restaurant sets in a glasshouse-inspired dining room, offers a communal Sunday Brunch ($138++) on 8 March 2026.

Additionally, The St. Regis Bar hosts a guest shift with COA Shanghai on 8 March to highlight female leadership in mixology.

Shangri-La Singapore

Shangri-La Singapore presents “The Art of Giving” afternoon tea at The Rose Veranda throughout March. For every tea set sold at $68++, the hotel donates $5 to United Women Singapore, a local non-profit organisation.
Guests can also view and contribute to a specially commissioned participatory artwork titled “Rooted, in
Strength” by local artist Ying.


At The Line, Chef Nicky Kim curates a “Seoulful Feast” featuring Korean classics like samgyetang and bulgogi. Women receive a 50 per cent discount on this buffet on 8 March.

To commemorate International Women’s Day (IWD), Area Executive Pastry Chef Hervé of Shangri-La Singapore has created the Indigo Cake (350g, $48) in a beautiful orchid design. This dessert brings together layers of umeshu plum mousse, whipped sage ganache, Joconde sponge, and sable Breton in a well-balanced composition. For a lighter indulgence, the Indigo Petit Gâteau ($12) is also available as an individual serving.
Both cakes will be available for takeaway at The Shophouse, Shangri-La Singapore, Rasa Shop at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore, while the Indigo Petit Gâteau will be available at JEN’s Kitchen On-the-Go at JEN Singapore Tanglin by Shangri-La.

Senior Sous Chef Amy presents a three-course dinner menu at Racines to honour women in culinary arts. Available from 1 to 31 March 2026, the menu reflects her personal journey and French training.
The meal begins with Nanyang-style foie gras, which incorporates local flavours of salted kaya butter and coffee jus. For the main course, she serves slow-cooked Friselva pork jowl with chorizo and artichoke barigoule.
The dinner costs $58++ per person.

Straits Wine introduces “Cuvée & Couture,” a pairing of wine and fashion at its UE Square outlet. This event takes place in collaboration with Thai fashion house SUPA East Glamor. The session includes a runway presentation where designs reflect the tasting profiles and labels of specific wines.
Tickets cost $48 for one person or $88 for two. Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend.

One Farrer Confectionery

For a seasonal takeaway option, One Farrer Confectionery has launched the Blueberry Blossom Cake. The cake incorporates Singapore Surprise tea-infused sponge, blueberry mousse, and house-made blueberry jelly. It is priced at $70.
