If we were to do a Word Association Test and “Pow Sing” was mentioned we might have quickly said “Chicken Rice”. After all, Pow Sing Hainanese Chicken Rice stall had been selling chicken rice in Serangoon Garden since the early 1980s. Today the eatery is simply known as Pow Sing Restaurant and it offers much more than just chicken rice. It has become a very popular neighbourhood restaurant with a wide variety of dishes including Nonya delicacies and curry fish head.
With two barkless coffee trees in its compact shophouse premises, Two Tall Trees signals that it is a cool neighbourhood cafe which is serious about its coffee. Embedded in the unique and charming low rise residential enclave of Serangoon Garden, Two Tall Tress offers specialty coffee and coconut latte as well as comfort food and desserts.
Crust Pizza has been delivering restaurant quality gourmet pizzas in Australia for many years. Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar opened its first store in Singapore in Holland Village in 2010 and have been making pizza deliveries to the surrounding areas like Bukit Timah, Orchard and Queenstown. Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar has a branch in Serangoon Garden to take care of deliveries to areas such Macpherson, Hougang, Punggol and Serangoon. At myVillage@Serangoon Garden, there is a small dining space, shared with One Man Coffee, where we can sit down and enjoy a pizza for dinner.

Sun Ray Cafe is a neighbourhood cafe in Serangoon Garden which is pet friendly. What makes it different is that it also has a menu for your pets. There is no way for us to tell if the food for the pets is any good. The food for humans is not bad.
The Coffee Daily is a small little cafe tucked away in a row of shophouses that is a distance away from the central round-about area of Serangoon Garden. It is located along Brighton Crescent, which is at the edge of the Serangoon Garden estate, near Yio Chu Kang Road. It is a cafe which we had not been to in a long while. We dropped in to see if it anything has changed.
