Once upon a time not so long ago, Parkland Green was the hottest spot in the East. The old Parkland Golf Driving Range at East Coast Park was redeveloped into a four-hectare space with picnic lawn, new and exciting F&B outlets and a large free car park. Parkland Green and the eateries there could get very crowded on weekends. With the introduction parking charges and the opening of Marine Cove nearby, Parkland Green is much quieter these days. If, like us, you prefer to dine in places with less crowd, it may be time to visit Parkland Green again. Recently, we went for dinner at Full Pint Brewery & Fish Bar Restaurant, a micro-brewery that offers burgers, pizza, sandwiches and western styled grilled seafood. We got to choose the table which would give us the best view of the sea and we also had the full attention of the staff. In fact, we thought a particular waitress was a little too attentive!
My Briyani House is an Indian restaurant operated by Mr Teh Tarik Group. It serves a wide range of traditional Indian dishes as well as the iconic teh tarik and other drinks. My Briyani House at Marine Cove is a nice place for breakfast after morning exercise or while the kids are having fun at the playground.
Hill Street Coffee Shop is one of the new eateries at Marine Cove, East Coast Park. It sells noodles but it should not be confused with the famous Hill Street Tai Wah Pork Noodles which had recently been awarded 1 Michelin Star. Hill Street Coffee Shop is one of the new genre of nostalgic and retro cafes which aim to recreate a sanitised version of the coffee shop of the good old days.
Marine Cove East Coast Park re-opens. The good old McDonald’s @ East Coast Park returns to the new Marine Cove with a fresh concept store. Marine Cove East Coast Park offers open spaces with a view of the sea, family friendly amenities and varied food and beverages outlets. A 3,500 sq m children’s playground with an 8 m lighthouse tower is a key attraction of the re-developed Marine Cove. Besides the new McDonald’s restaurant, an Indian-Muslim restaurant, a Peranakan restaurant, a retro-themed coffee shop offering local hawker favourites and a kids friendly hip cafe make Marine Cove an interesting dining destination. We take a quick tour of the restaurants and cafes at Marine Cove East Coast Park.
