Restaurant ANDRÉ - Asia Best Restaurants

Restaurant André at Bukit Pasoh is now among world’s best restaurants having earned 14th place at the World’s 50 Best Restaurants award ceremony in 2017. It is the only restaurant from Singapore on the World’s top 50 list published by the William Reed Media Group. The 2 Michelin Star French restaurant is No.2 on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2017 and is named as S. Pellegrino’s Best Restaurant in Singapore for many years. Lunch at Tippling Club restaurant in Tanjong Pagar

The Tippling Club restaurant in Tanjong Pagar is listed number 27 in the 2017 Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list.   The list was published two days ago.  Coincidentally, we just had lunch at the Tippling Club by chef Ryan Clift only last week. The Tippling Club occupies the ground floor of shophouses (including house number 38) along Tanjong Pagar Road, just off Duxton Hill.   The upper level hosts other facilities including a private dining area called Bin 38, named after the Penfold’s Bin series of wines.  There is apparently a tie-up with Australian wine heavyweight Penfolds.

Where applicable, we have used an asterisk (*) to indicate the number of stars they were awarded.  We just hope they do not increase their prices!

Mad About Sucre, French restaurant and patisserie in Chinatown

Mad About Sucre Singapore - 24

Mad About Sucre is a delightful French restaurant and patisserie. Many may already know about the pastry skills of the chefs there. With decades of working in Paris and having a name that proclaims that they are “mad about sugar”, one can presume that they will be good with producing the sweet stuff. We heard that they had recently started serving regular warm food in addition to their famous desserts and so we headed to Mad About Sucre for lunch recently.
