Edge is presenting a “Street Food Paradise” buffet in honour of Singapore’s hawker culture from 8 to 19 July 2019.

Be transported back to the 1960s and 1970s where classic street side favourites originating from Glutton’s Square (one of Singapore’s oldest hawker centre with more than 80 stalls) await. 

Find a repertoire of iconic dishes reinterpreted by Chef Howard Leong on the buffet menu such as Malay Kampong Nasi Lemak, Chinese Wok-fried Seafood Hokkien Noodles with Homemade Sambal Chilli and Lime. Continue to delight in the sinfully fried Cucur Tiram (Oyster Fritters with Bean Sprouts, Peanuts and Sweet Chilli Dip), artfully grilled Ocean Gems Bakar (Combination of Prawns, Squids, Scallops and Catch of the Day) with Sambal Onions, Chinchalok and Calamansi, and delightful Rainbow Chicken Slider in your choice of flavour – Chilli Crab, Black Pepper, Satay, Thai-style, Tandoori, Sambal or Hoi Sin Ginger. Top it off with Tau Huay (Soya Beancurd), Ondeh – Ondeh Cake, Chendol Cake, and Potong Ice Cream with Rainbow Toast

Sweet succulent Sri Lankan Giant Crabs are showcased in a diverse range of creations in Shang Palace. Transformed under the deft culinary mastery of Chef Mok Kit Keung, each of the 8 preparations available with this promotion are inspired by the insights garnered from his travels. Alongside the classic Hong Kong-style cuisine, taste the flavours of East Asia such as the Japanese-inspired dish of Giant Crab Steamed with Sake and Egg; and South East Asian inspirations such as the Filipino-style dish of crabs Sauteed with Coconut Cream, Lemon Grass, Chili Padi and Kang Kung. The Singapore palate is represented twice; Chef Mok interprets classic chilli crab and black pepper crabs with his signature finesse.

Indulge in traditional Cantonese delights refreshed with local zest in the company of loved ones, with five different creations ideal for sharing, each incorporating flavours of perennial local favourites sure to enchant the palate.

· Steamed Xiao Long Bao with Bak Kut Teh Stock, where the succulent pork dumpling is enriched with soulful herbal bak kut teh broth.
· Crispy Deep-fried Mutton Satay Spring Roll with savoury, well-marinated mutton meat within.
· The iconic Steamed Hainanese Chicken with Sticky Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf, an inspired interpretation of Singapore’s beloved Hainanese chicken rice served with the quintessential condiments of chilli, dark sauce, and ginger sauce.
· Pan-fried Singapore Chilli Crab Meat Bun, presenting luscious sweet and spicy chilli crab enveloped by the hearty bun.

Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore’s in-house restaurant SE7ENTH presents a refreshed dining menu teeming with palate-rousing flavours for lunch and dinner.

For those who appreciate a good cut of meat, the new Australian Wagyu Striploin Steak (S$68++) will whet appetites. Featuring premium Wagyu beef from Queensland, Australia, the well-marbled beef is seasoned with pink Himalayan salt and herbs and seared till the meat is juicy, succulent and tender. Other highlights include St Louis-style Barbecue Pork Ribs (S$36++), a prime dinner choice for those who enjoy hearty fares, and Vongole pasta (S$26++). The Chef’s Signatures such as Australian Sirloin Beef Hor Fun (S$32++) and Pan-Seared Salmon (S$34++) have also been reinvented to delight taste buds. End of the meal on a sweet note with desserts or a cup of freshly brewed coffee with beans from Common Man Coffee Roasters or Nespresso.
