What to eat at the Jem Shopping Mall in Jurong East, Singapore? With Don Don Donki already operating and IKEA Jem opening in Q2 2021, more visitors will look for food places at JEM. Here is our list of 25 TOP Jem Restaurants to check out in 2020 and 2021. Sample pictures of menu and special deals are provided where available. The information is provided as at November 2020 and may change with time. Do check for any updated restaurant and menu information.
Jem Restaurants on Level 5
We start our list of Jem Restaurants from the highest level. The Cathay Cineplexes are located on level 5. Also on this floor are MOS Burger and Cookhouse food court.
A large part of level 5 of Jem is taken up by Cookhouse by Koufu. A good range of local and international cuisines are available at this Jem food court. Some of the food stalls that are interesting to us are Mala Xian Guo, Sedap Wok, Odeon Noodle House (beef noodles), Thai Dynasty and Popular Food (Japan Cuisine).
Jem Restaurants on Level 4
We were glad to see that Kinokuniya Book Store is still at Jem. It is our favourite store at level 4. Other interesting stores at Jem level 4 are Challenger, MUJI, Courts and Apgujeong Hair Studio.
Jack’s Place #04-15
Jack’s Place does not need any introduction. The affordable steaks and value set lunches on weekdays are attractions at this JEM steak house.
Pepper Lunch #04-10
We can smell the Pepper Lunch restaurant before we see it. Just the aroma of the food can tempt us into eating there. Many of its dishes are served on sizzling hot plates which makes anything smell and taste better.

Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory #04-13
The Chir Chir (pronounced Chi-Re Chi-Re) chain is said to be one of the largest “Chimaek” franchises in South Korea. This looks like the place to go at JEM for Korean style fried chicken and cold beer.

Penang Culture Restaurant serves Penang hawker dishes in a simple but comfortable environment.
Jem Restaurants on Level 3
Other than the restaurants, the highlights on Jem Level 3 are Don Don Donki (which also extends to level 2), H&M, Adidas and PUMA.
Shaburi & Kintan Buffet #03-11
Shaburi & Kintan Buffet is one of the largest restaurants in Jem. The restaurant is separated into two sections. Turn left for the shabu-shabu buffet and the turn right for the Japanese BBQ.

Like many cafes these days, the decor of Vietnamese restaurant So Pho is simple and pleasant. At a price point of around $15 per person, it is the type of place that appeals to shoppers and office workers alike. Read about our visit to So Pho Ion here.
Sushi Tei #03-18
Home grown Japanese restaurant Sushi Tei has an outlet on Jem level 3. Did you know that they have 81 outlets in 9 countries? 45 in Indonesia and 13 in Singapore.
Seoul Yummy #03-05
There seems to be many Korean restaurants in Jem. Seoul Yummy Korean restaurant on level 3 is an attractive causal Korean restaurant.
Soi Thai Soi Nice #03-21
The Signature Royal Thai Hotpot prepared with authentic Tom Yum broth and other Thai dishes are served at Soi Thai Soi Nice Thai restaurant on level 3. There are some lunch specials on weekdays.

Jem Restaurants on Level 2
IKEA at Jem will open in Q2 of 2021. It seems to have taken over the space previously occupied by Robinsons Jem. Other notable tenants on level 2 of JEM are UOB Bank, Don Don Donki and beauty and fashion brands like Dior Beauty Boutique and Mango.

The ever popular Din Tai Fung is on level 2. We cannot seem to get tired of their xiao long baos.
Monster Curry #02-06
For a more fiery experience, Monster Curry is right next door to Din Tai Fung. It is said to be the only restaurant in Singapore that serves Japanese demi-glace curry made with 14 different vegetables and spices. Five levels are available from normal spicy to monster spicy.

Simply Wrapps #02-19
For a more healthy meal, we head to Simply Wrapps on Jem level 2. Wraps, salads, quesadillas, cold press juices and hot organic beverages are available.

Jem Restaurants on Level 1
On level 1 of Jem Shopping Mall, we find mainly restaurants, fashion and jewellery brands. Popular names include Starbucks, Taiwan tea shop CHICHA San Chen, H&M, Love Bonito, Seiko and Poh Heng Jewellery.

Decorated like a izakaya in Japan, Aburi-En specialises in aburi or flame-torched meats. A good variety of donburi is also on the menu.

Nipong Naepong #01-16
Nipong Naepong is said to be Singapore’s first restaurant specialising in fusion jjamppong, a type of Korean noodle soup with red, spicy broth.
4 Fingers Crispy Chicken #01-15A
4 Fingers is famous for their chicken wings – deep-fried Korean style with a thin but very crispy surface. They are very popular in Singapore. Student deals and bundled packages sweeten the deal.

JEM Restaurants at Basement 1
At the basement 1 level of JEM are the NTUC Fairprice Xtra supermarket, Guardian pharmacy, OCBC and Standard Chartered Bank. There are many JEM restaurants and other food outlets such as ToriQ, Burger King, Han’s and Old Chang Kee at basement one. The car park at JEM is in basement 2 and 3.

Rumah Sayang #B1-41
Rumah Sayang is a popular Nasi Padang restaurant at JEM. We like to buy takeaway food from here after shopping at Fairprice.
Seorae Korean Charcoal BBQ #B1-10
Seorae Korean Charcoal BBQ is a largea nd attractive restaurant at JEM basement 1. It is said to be the first Korean restaurant in Singapore that serves the signature Korean galmaegisal (premium pork skirt meat). You can see more info on their website.
Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice #B1-08
Go Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice was established in 1960 as a food stall specialising in Hainanese chicken rice in the Pratunam district of Bangkok.
