YENNEY, a Vietnamese restaurant in Marina One East Tower, has launched a multi-course Hanoi-inspired tasting menu at promotional price of $39. The new Vietnamese omakase experience marks a departure from the southern Vietnamese cuisine that dominates Singapore’s dining scene. Instead, it focuses on Northern Vietnamese traditions influenced by Hanoi’s 90-year French colonial history.

The restaurant has operated since 2022 in the Central Business District. It seats 100 diners across a space decorated with greenery.
What’s on the menu

The omakase features a three-part structure. It begins with appetisers, moves to main courses, and ends with desserts.
Starters include Hanoi fried spring rolls wrapped in handcrafted rice paper. The avocado spring rolls use rice skin imported from Hanoi. A papaya salad with shrimp and chicken rounds out the opening trio.
Main courses showcase both traditional and French-influenced dishes. The A5 Wagyu beef pho uses handmade flat rice noodles imported from Vietnam. The broth is slow-simmered for hours.

Bun Cha ‘Obama’ references the 2016 meeting between Barack Obama and Anthony Bourdain in Hanoi. It features chargrilled pork belly and pork shoulder with rice noodles and fish sauce vinaigrette.

The French-Vietnamese Steak โRue de Hร Nแปiโ uses New Zealand ribeye with red wine reduction and pepper jus. A grilled pork banh mi completes the main course selection.
Desserts include an avocado smoothie with coconut mousse and che Hanoi, a tropical fruit dessert with coconut milk.

Founder Nguyen described the concept as rooted in Hanoi’s culinary heritage. Each course draws from family recipes and showcases the kitchen team’s techniques.
Coffee and tea included
The omakase includes up to two coffee and two tea selections per diner.

YENNEY sources beans from Vietnam’s coffee-growing highlands. The team works with local roasters who use traditional Vietnamese deep-roast methods.
Signature drinks include salt coffee with coconut milk, ca phe trung (egg coffee), and apricot coffee. Tea options include homemade lemongrass tea with cheese agar, iced mango or strawberry lemonade tea, and Vietnamese jasmine tea.

Omakase Service
The restaurant opens Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 8.30 pm. Omakase service runs Monday to Friday from 5.30 pm onwards. Saturday service begins at noon.
The promotional launch price is $39 per person. Regular pricing will be $59 per person. A minimum of two diners is required.

The restaurant’s regular menu remains available. It includes pho, fresh spring rolls, banh mi, and bun cha.
