Rempapa, Chef Damian D’Silva’s heritage restaurant, has moved to the National Gallery Singapore (NGS). The move marks a homecoming for the chef, who spent his early years in the building when it was the Supreme Court.

Rempapa at NGS

Chef Damian lived in the caretaker quarters of the former Supreme Court with his family. His mother worked there, and he celebrated his first birthday in those quarters. The National Gallery now occupies the building. The relocation coincides with the opening of Gilmore & Damian D’Silva, the chef’s second concept. Gilmore & Damian D’Silva focuses on forgotten Eurasian and Singaporean heritage cuisine.
Rempapa at National Gallery operates as a fully self-service concept. Customers order and collect their food themselves. The format suits quick, casual dining while maintaining the quality of Chef Damian’s recipes.
The space seats 114 people. It features natural light, warm tones and simple dรฉcor. The design aims to create a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying heritage dishes.
What’s on the Menu of Rempapa at NGS

The new Rempapa outlet concentrates on rice-based dishes and local favourites. The menu centres on Signature Nasi Lemak sets with various side options.
Diners can choose from Ayam Berempah, Sambal Sotong, Lamb Shank Rendang, and Deep-fried Chicken Wing. Each comes as part of the nasi lemak set.
The restaurant also serves Homemade Kaya Toast on thick Shokupan bread. This is a refined version of the local breakfast staple.
