Michelin Guide Singapore 2026: restaurants to know from this year’s list

The Michelin Guide Singapore 2026 was unveiled on 4 August at a ceremony held at Raffles Sentosa Singapore. This year marks the guide’s tenth edition in Singapore. Three restaurants keep their Three-Star ranking. Judges named nine restaurants as Two-Star winners and handed out a fresh batch of One Star debuts and retentions across the island.

Les Amis, Odette and Zรฉn keep their three-star ranking. 1887 by Andrรฉ joins the two-star tier as a completely new entry. Below, we look at a few other restaurants that featured in this year’s announcement, from a decade-long fixture at the top to a newcomer that opened barely a year ago.

JAAN by Kirk Westaway kept its Two Michelin Stars for a sixth consecutive year.

Chef Kirk Westaway has led the kitchen since 2018, when he reworked the restaurant around Modern British cuisine. JAAN earned its first star in the guide’s inaugural 2016 edition and added a second in 2021. That makes this year’s result five years of holding both stars, and eleven years since Chef Kirk took over.

“JAAN has been part of the Michelin Guide Singapore story since its very first edition, so to hold Two Michelin Stars in the guide’s tenth year feels especially meaningful,” said Chef Kirk. He credited his team, including Head Sommelier Bella Jankaew and Head Chef Ng Guo Lun, for the result.

The restaurant sits on the 70th floor of Swissรดtel The Stamford and seats just 35 diners. Its wine list runs to more than 700 labels, and the menu leans on seasonal, vegetable-forward dishes drawn from Chef Kirk’s childhood in Devon, England.

NAE:UM, a contemporary Korean restaurant on Telok Ayer Street, marked its fifth anniversary alongside its fifth straight year with a star. Chef-Founder Louis Han opened the restaurant in 2022 and reimagined the space last year as NAE:UM 2.0. “This year is our fifth anniversary, and we’re very grateful to have retained our star for all five years,” he said. NAE:UM now anchors a wider group that includes GU:UM, a Korean steakhouse, and HIDEAWAY, a private dining room.

Restaurant BORN, housed in the old Jinrikisha Station on Neil Road, held its star for a fourth consecutive year since debuting in 2023. Chef-Owner Zor Tan built the menu around what he calls a “Circle of Life” philosophy, blending French technique with Chinese ingredients and flavours. “Our true purpose has always been to tell stories through food, honour our roots, and create unforgettable moments for every guest,” Chef Zor said.

Marguerite, tucked inside the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, kept its star for a fifth year running. Chef-Patron Michael Wilson spent the past year travelling across Australia to meet farmers and foragers, and that trip shaped a new menu built around native ingredients such as lemon myrtle, wattleseed and warrigal greens. The restaurant offers a four-course lunch from $148++ and a seven-course dinner from $288++, alongside a buggy service through the gardens for diners.

Cherry Garden by Chef Fei, inside Mandarin Oriental Singapore, earned its star just over a year after relaunching in July 2025. The restaurant serves Cantonese and Teochew cuisine, with dishes such as boneless crucian carp congee on the menu. “This is a remarkable achievement for Cherry Garden by Chef Fei, and I am incredibly proud of my team,” said Chef Fei, who also oversees several other Chinese restaurants across Mandarin Oriental properties. Chef de Cuisine Steven Luo runs the kitchen day to day.

Loca Niru, set inside the 140-year-old House of Tan Yeok Nee near Dhoby Ghaut, also debuted with a star. Executive Chef Shusuke Kubota, who is 33, additionally picked up this year’s Young Chef Award. Chef Kubota trained in both Japan and Europe, and the restaurant’s menu blends Japanese precision with French technique. “Winning a Michelin Star has always been one of my biggest goals, and now that dream has finally come true,” he said. The 36-seat restaurant is run by Gaia Lifestyle Group.
