PAZZION Cafe is described as an “… urban rustic haven is made for the digital nomads by day and a charming cosy café by night.” Located in B1 Takashimaya SC, the PAZZION space is divided in half – the left side for the Pazzion shoe shop and the other for the PAZZION Cafe.
PAZZION Cafe Takashimaya
As you can guess, our interests lie on the right side of the space – where the food and coffee smells beckon. It looks like a pleasant space and the Pazzion cafe location at B1 Ngee Ann City seems quite central. Yet the cafe was remarkably quiet. Pazzion Cafe Takashimaya is a relatively new cafe. It is the second Passion cafe in Singapore, after the first one at JEWEL Changi.
The narrow space at the entrance opens up to a wider area inside. We like the way the tables are spread out. There was adequate space for everyone.
Here are pictures of some Passion cafe cakes, bread and pastries on display.
Lunch Time Pasta Fiesta
Current they have a Pasta Fiesta at Passion Cafe Taka. Available on weekdays, it is essentially a pasta set lunch priced at $18. Four types of pasta to choose from plus an ice cream dessert and ice lemon tea.
Pazzion Cafe Takashimaya Menu
Here are some sample pictures of the Passion Cafe a la carte menu. They have a good range of cafe-type food. All day breakfast, salads, meat dishes and burgers etc. We decided to try the pasta fiesta, a three-cheese sandwich and some coffee from the a la carte menu.
Our Lunch
For our pasta fiesta lunch we decided on the spicy chorizo pasta with sun-dried tomato. Chorizo sausage is usually a successful ingredient with most dishes. For our lunch at Pazzion cafe, it was no exception. The strongly flavoured sausage elevated the otherwise plain pasta. The scoop of vanilla ice-cream for dessert was a let down. It was too plain to be memorable. In fact we even forgot to take a picture of it. For drink we opted for a cappuccino instead of ice lemon tea. It was an option that costs an extra $1, but we were happy with our choice as the coffee at Pazzion was pretty good.
Our dish from the a la carte was a three-cheese sandwich. It was quite a generous portion of sandwich and fries. This will make a great choice of snack to be shared by two people when taking a break from shopping. In fact this will our choice of resting place during the next Great Singapore Sale or the Takashimaya sale. Our previous quiet cafe at Ngee Ann City was Patties and Wiches which has since closed down (replaced by Matchaya).
Cheese toast and coffee is always a great combination, made especially enjoyable at Pazzion Takashimaya because of the peace and quiet we enjoyed on a weekday and also the friendly service there.
