A bumper durian harvest in Malaysia has brought prices down and supply up. Hotels and restaurants across Singapore are cashing in. Here is where you can find some of the interesting options.

Lobby Lounge, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel | Mao Shan Wang Durian Afternoon Tea
1 July to 31 August 2026 | From $48++ per person

The Mao Shan Wang Durian Afternoon Tea is back at Lobby Lounge on Orchard Road for its annual run. This year, the sweet items are presented on a sculptural tree-like stand, which is a bit more theatrical than the usual tiered tray.
The menu leans into combination flavours rather than straight durian. The Mango Sago Durian Puff pairs durian pulp with mango cubes and sago pearls. The Durian Yam Mochi Tart layers yam and mochi in a vanilla tart shell, finished with durian fudge. For something richer, the Durian Cheesecake blends Mao Shan Wang into the base and tops it with durian mousse. A Durian Tiramisu with Lemongrass Jelly โ built on pandan sponge, gula melaka crรฉmeux and durian mascarpone mousse โ adds an herbal note that cuts through the sweetness.
Savoury bites round out the set. Weekday sessions (Monday to Thursday) are priced at $48++ and run 3pm to 5.30pm. Weekend sessions cost $58++ and include a glass of champagne or sparkling tea. Guests who book weekend slots and quote “LL20OFF” get 20 per cent off until 31 August. On the National Day weekend of 7 to 9 August, those who turn up dressed in red get 25 per cent off.

Peppermint, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay | The Heritage & Durian Collection Buffet
9 July to 11 August 2026 | From $72++ per adult

Peppermint’s annual durian buffet is one of the more straightforward propositions for those who want the real thing rather than durian-flavoured desserts. At the hotel’s rooftop Urban Farm, Mao Shan Wang, Red Prawn and other varieties are deshelled to order on Thursday to Saturday evenings. The option to have the fruit grilled until the flesh caramelises is something most durian stalls do not offer.

The buffet itself, called Roast & Grill: The Heritage & Durian Collection, was developed in collaboration with ITE culinary students. The Josper-grilled mains are the main draw beyond the durian. Highlights include Applewood-grilled Beef with Rempah Kuning, Buah Keluak Rubbed Roasted Baby Lamb, and Charcoal-roasted Wagyu Oxtail en Papillote. The Signature Seafood and Lobster Laksa Tower also returns. For dessert, there is a Durian Pengat and a Durian Crรจme Brรปlรฉe, the latter from the ITE student team.

Pricing varies by day and meal. Weekday lunches start at $72++ per adult. Thursday to Saturday dinners with free-flow durian are priced at $138++ per adult and $79++ per child.

Food Capital and The Lobby Lounge, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel | Flavours of Malaysia Buffet
1 June to 12 July 2026 | Buffet from $72++ per adult

The Flavours of Malaysia buffet at Food Capital is not primarily a durian promotion. It is a broader showcase of regional Malaysian cuisine, presented by five guest chefs representing Johor, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Sarawak. That said, durian appears across the menus, including a Durian Mochi and a D24 Durian Cream Puff in the accompanying Malaysian Heritage Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge.
The afternoon tea, priced at $68++ for two, runs daily from 3pm to 5pm. It pairs Malaysian bites, Otak-Otak Focaccia, Mini Ramly Burger, Keropok Lekor with Sambal, with durian-inflected sweets and a curated tea selection from Pryce Tea. A more premium version at $108++ for two includes Devaux Coeur des Bar Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine.
Weekday lunch is $72++ per adult; weekend dinner runs $116++ per adult. Children aged five and under dine free. For those after a lighter option, The Lobby Lounge also serves a Malaysian Tiffin Lunch Set for $28++ daily, noon to 3pm, with a 10 per cent discount for Robertson Quay residents and working professionals.

Hai Tien Lo, Pan Pacific Singapore | Mao Shan Wang Durian Snow Skin Mooncake
18 June to 25 September 2026 | From $95 nett per box of four

Hai Tien Lo at Pan Pacific Singapore is marking the Mid-Autumn Festival with a mooncake collection that includes a durian option. The Mao Shan Wang Durian Snow Skin Mooncake ($108 nett for a box of four) uses the snow skin format, which suits durian better than baked pastry โ the cold, soft shell does not compete with the fruit’s flavour.
The wider mooncake collection, curated by Executive Chinese Chef Edden Yap, also includes baked varieties: a Hai Tien Lo No. 1 Tea Baked Mooncake, a new Roselle with Wolfberries and White Lotus Paste Baked Mooncake, and the familiar Double and Single Yolk White Lotus options. Gifting sets are available โ the Classic Four Treasures Set is $98 nett; the Premium Four Treasures Set, which comes with a teapot and tea leaves, is $188 nett.
Early bird discounts of up to 30 per cent apply until 27 July. After that, savings of up to 25 per cent remain until 25 September. A self-collection booth opens on Level 1 of Pan Pacific Singapore from 17 August. Delivery is available, though a fee of $60 nett per location applies for orders below 50 boxes.
