Bochinche Restaurant on Amoy Street is a unique restaurant in Singapore that serves Argentinian dishes. We don’t know of any other Argentinian restaurant in Singapore. It also has a beautiful interior and a huge dragon and fish mural on the exterior.
(June 2015 Update – Bochinche has moved to 115 Amoy Street) We went for lunch at Argentinian restaurant Bochinche which had undergone a facelift. Gone is the dark sombre tone of the old place (see our review of the old Bochinche here). In its place is a brighter look and the addition of a retail section selling wines and food. The interior designer must be quite a ‘punny’ guy with a sense of humour. It clearly makes the place a bit more fun and less serious but some might prefer the old look.
(2016 update: Bochinche has moved to 115 Amoy Street) Other than Maradona, Messi and Evita, most of us do not know much about Argentina, let alone Argentinian food. So when we decided to have lunch at Bochinche, we really did not know what to expect. According to their website, “Bochinche celebrates that great passion for food and the social custom of gathering to dine, at the same time dispelling the notion that Argentinean cuisine is only about meat.”
