Teochew Moi or Teochew porridge is comfort food relished by many Singaporeans. It is no secret that Singaporeans love buffets. So a Teochew Porridge Buffet is an effective formula to attract diners to a restaurant. 满乐 ManLe at City Square Mall ensures that it will attract a crowd by making the buffet price a good one. The All Day Teochew Porridge Buffet is priced at $12.90 for weekday lunch and $16.90 for dinner and weekend lunch.
Escape Restaurant & Lounge allows you to get away from the usual dining in a downtown hotel experience. However, with its sumptuous spread of freshly-prepared local delights as well as the usual Western favourites, there is no running away from calories at the Escape Restaurant Buffet.
Putien Kitchener Road (莆田)is located on the fringe of Little India. This one Michelin Star restaurant listed in the Singapore Michelin Guides 2016 and 2017 does not have a five-star location. It is good that the Michelin folks have spotted this restaurant that is away from the usual gourmet pockets like Keong Saik or Orchard Road. Putien Kitchener Road is the original Putien restaurant. From there, the Putien restaurant chain has spread to 12 outlets in Singapore and many more overseas. We had been to some of their other outlets such as Putien Ion Orchard, but not the main restaurant.
This is a short post about The Coffee Belt, a little cafe on the lobby floor of the Park Hotel Farrer Park. We were pleasantly surprised to discover this small cosy place for coffee, drinks and snacks in this area near Little India.
If you are one who likes to point your camera lens in the direction of the most photogenic food you can find, then you may want to pack your gear and head to Non Entrée Desserts at Rangoon Road. There may be no better dessert place in Singapore to capture Instagram-worthy images of unique desserts. The decor of Non Entrée Desserts makes it a rather Instagram-worthy cafe but it is their desserts that truly deserve showing off.
